St. John was pretty busy over Thanksgiving with a lot of tourists on island. It is very quiet right now as off season is still in effect. That will change in a big way come Christmas/New Year's. The island will be packed. Enjoy the silence.

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake srtuck the Caribbean yesterday afternoon. The center was off the coast of Martinique. The most damage occurred on the islands of Martinique, Barbados and Dominica. The quake was felt as far north as The Virgin Islands and as far south as Venezuela. We were in the office and after several seconds we realized what it was and ran outside. We have very small earthquakes all the time but it was the strongest I have felt in the 5 years I have lived here.

High Season is almost here. You can tell by the number of job openings. Anyone want to move to paradise??

The forecast for the week is mostly sunny with a light breeze. The temperature is forecast to barely reach 80 degrees over the next several days. I guess it's time to break out the socks!
