While storms of varying strength do pass over the USVI each season, you should not let hurricanes prevent you from taking a vacation.

Tropical Storm Paloma formed in the Western Caribbean. It is forecast to become a hurricane and move over the Cayman Islands, Cuba and eventually the Bahamas. If you are in Paloma's path you have to pay attention to this storm.

Water Temperatures for US Virgin Islands

The average temperatures range from 77°F in January/ Februaryto 83°F in August/September. Water temperatures in the US Virgin Islands do not vary greatly from the summer to winter months. In the summer months the water temperature is about 83 degrees and in the winter about 79 degrees.
