St. John Taxi and Bus Rates |

- Buses are air-conditioned, and leave from the ferry dock at Cruz Bay every
hour on the half hour to drive across the island to the Salt Pond area of Coral
Bay. They return to Cruz Bay shortly after. Fare $l.00 each way.
- Official taxi rates from Cruz Bay. All official taxis or vans carry the letters
JP on their license plates. Round-trip fares are double the one-way fare plus
waiting charges which are 15 cents per minute after the first 10 minutes. Radio
calls are one-third plus the base price. Two-hour island tours cost $30 for
1 or 2 passengers; for 3 or more $12 per person. Taxi shuttles carrying 3 or
more passengers are often available. A per item baggage charge is usually assesed.
If you are travelling with luggage, ask your driver ahead of time what the charge
per item will be. |
